Add links to a wiki page

There are several buttons available to help you create links within wiki pages...

Link toolbar

To add a link to another wiki page...

Click on the first button in the link toolbar (see above), select the page you'd like to link to, and then click OK. The title of the page and the link will be inserted into the page for you.

To add a link to a file...

Click on the second button on the link toolbar (see above). Click the Browse button and select the file from your computer, then add a suitable title for the file. The title will help other people identify the file, and will also act as the link to the file. Click on the Upload button to upload your file – this may take a couple of minutes if you are uploading a large file or you have a slow connection.

If the file you want to link to has already been uploaded, you can just select it from the list instead of uploading it again.

To add a link to an external website...

Click on the third button on the link toolbar (see above). Then just copy-and-paste the address of the page or file that you want to link to into the URL box.

To add a link to an e-mail address...

Click on the third button on the link toolbar (see above), and change the Link type dropdown to E-mail.

To add a link to a specific point on the same page...

If the page you are editing is very long, you may want to add a contents listing to the top of the page with links that jump down the page. This can be achieved by inserting anchors at various points on the page using the fifth button on the link toolbar (see above). You can then insert links to these anchor points using the third button on the link toolbar and selecting Link to anchor in the Link type dropdown.
