External recruitment
This is the slowest means of recruitment and may be the least costly, although the Internet has significantly sped up the process of advertising and receiving applications – see for instance Vacancies under Professional resources on ReliefWeb.
Many organisations will also advertise posts on their own web sites – see for instance Oxfam GB.
