Following ORC Worldwide's acquisition by Mercer, the collaboration between ORC Worldwide and the other three partners on the LiNGO project has ended. However, People In Aid, together with InsideNGO and the Birches Group, will continue to offer the same high-quality surveys using the same methodology and the same team of analysts.

In partnership with the Birches Group and InsideNGO, we are pleased to share with you the latest update on the NGO Local Pay Survey, an initiative to create reliable, tailored compensation survey data for the international NGO community.
There has been a very robust response to date in that:
• 40+ surveys have completed, are in-process or have been scheduled
• Almost 200 organisations have registered in one or more countries
• Over 900 registrations in total
• A growing list of ten global Preferred Partners, with WaterAid the most recent addition
The Birches Group has now set a target of 60 surveys in 2011 and has set a specific schedule for countries for the remainder of this year.
Please check the NGO Local Pay site for that list and schedule. You can also register and find more information about this exciting initiative there.
The survey examines salaries and benefits for the local staff population of the international NGO and development community. Each country survey includes a two-part report which compares your data to the market for base pay, fixed allowances (such as thirteenth month), short-term incentives and in-kind benefits (such as meals, transportation and recreation). Values are shown for each position at various percentiles of the market.
The survey report also includes prevalence information for benefits such as retirement and medical plans; insurance programs; family benefits; and leave benefits. A summary of the local Social Security and Labor Law, Income Tax and Exchange Rate history is also featured in the report.
Positions covered by the NGO Local Pay survey include all country-based jobs, from general support to programme roles and technical specialties. See the survey jobs page for more information.
