New Counter-Terrorism Policies Available

We've recently expanded our Policy Bank, which now features a new section on Counter-Terrorism Policies available for People In Aid members to view.

Fred Hollows Foundation Counter-Terrorism Policy

This policy outlines how The Fred Hollows Foundation (FHF) will comply with Australian law relating to counter-terrorism.
The policy features:

  • The legislative framework and provisions that ensure no person or body provides direct or indirect support or resources to individuals and entities associated with terrorism.
  • Procedures to ensure that funds and program
activities are not misused to further terrorism or support terrorist activities.
  • Appendixes detailing Program Partnership MOUs and other contracts, including with consultants.

This document provides a template for organisations looking to create a counter-terrorism policy. Covered in the template are guidelines on:

  • Reporting allegations or suspected connections to terrorist activity

  • Reviewing participants, donors, national offices and programs, to ensure that none are compromised by any connection to terrorism
  • Risk factors, considerations, checklists and assesments that can be carried out within the organisation.
