Stream the Evidence Aid conference live on 29 and 30 October 2012

The Evidence Aid project is a co-ordinated, international initiative to improve effective and timely access to systematic reviews on the effects of interventions and actions of relevance before, during and after natural disasters and other humanitarian emergencies, to improve health-related outcomes. Their 2nd conference, in association with the Red Cross, Flanders, is to be held in Brussels on 29 and 30 October 2012.

All places for the event are now filled however the conference will be available in ‘real’ time, linked from their website and will be available afterwards for you to watch at your leisure.

The overarching theme of the conference is ‘Disaster Aid’, in which the focus is on priority-setting and the levels of evidence that should be regarded as acceptable or required for people involved in disaster risk reduction, planning, response and recovery.

Speakers have been confirmed from a variety of organisations, including the Red Cross, International Committee of Military Medicine, Médecins Sans Frontières, The Cochrane Collaboration, and the UNHCR.
