VACANCY: Project Coordinator for the development of a common humanitarian standard and a coherent overall standards framework
A unique opportunity has arisen to help to shape the future of humanitarian action by coordinating the development and dissemination of a common humanitarian standard together with a coherent overall standards framework. Requiring a broad collaboration across the sector, and building on the outcomes of the Joint Standards Initiative (between three of the most established humanitarian standard-setting bodies, HAP, People In Aid, and the Sphere Project) this position puts you at the forefront of change in the sector, working to ensure that humanitarian work is accountable to the people it serves. Reporting to the Executive Director of People In Aid, based in London, UK, the Project Coordinator will be part of the project’s Executive Team which will be composed of the Directors of the three initiatives and the Project Steering Group, a larger body representing many different voices which will provide guidance and support. The post-holder will be involved in influencing the future of humanitarian standards.
