Not being in HR myself, I do not get the chance to attend our member-only Network meetings often. Never-the-less I decided to head along to this one with a view to broaden my horizons! Hosted in partnership with Peninsula Business Services the meeting looked at UK employment law and health and safety legislation. Why not jump in at the deep end, I thought.

A lot of the discussion today followed yesterday's panel discussion on 'Staff Care: What Duty? Who Cares?' Representatives from Oxfam Novib, Interhealth, ACF UK, Mindfulness for NGOs and the ex- Global Editor of Reuters all took questions from the group. It was great to see such high profile agencies/organisations discussing the similarities of the problems they face.
