When ALNAP launched their report on leadership, the conversation turned to risk. I'll add some details of specific interest to senior manager and HR professionals, but want to mention first the agreed next step: for ALNAP to convene meetings with donors and CEOs to see what can be done about two factors which mitigate against leadership (or 'stifles leaders' space' as one speaker put it): risk aversion and compliance.
